First of all I want to thank UAE University for giving my this chance to get involved in the career environment and to develop my skills.

The goal for the internship is to get involved in the career environment, practical part and to develop my skills. And I chose Mass Communication TV Department because it helps me in building my personality, overcome shyness and to convey the right news from all around the world.  And definitely I want to feel more comfortable in speaking/socializing with people and as a Mass Communication student, I've seen a big improvement in myself through the internship and hopefully I keep improving.

I trained at 3 companies MBC Group, Al Aan TV channel & National Media Council, the first 2 months I spend it at MBC group, I chose it because it is the largest and leading private media company in the Middle East & North Africa region that enriches people’s lives through information, interaction and entertainment. I trained at 2 news channel (Al Arabiya and Al Hadath), and a radio channel (Panorama FM), I trained on how to edit the news reports on AVID program and How to develop my voice to record it for news reports and for radio channel.

And the third month I spend it at Al Aan TV channel, The free-to-air broadcaster offers original and innovative infotainment programs. I chose it to improve my self more in writing reports for news & Video wall and how to use the INews Program.

The Fourth month I spend my training at National Media Council, is an independent federal Government body, it offers many services to Media and Communication customers and clients. The most notable services are:

1- News Services: These include news materials transmitted by the Emirates News Agency (WAM) to subscribing media organizations, in addition to daily bulletins and SMS services (lerned how to cover events and make interviews and write reports about it).

2- Media Licensing (Media Licenses Department): These include issuance and renewal of licenses for diverse on-shore and off-shore media and communications activates. (learned how to make or cancel a commerce licenses).

3- Monitoring Media Content: This includes permissions for the circulation and production of wide ranging media contents in print and audio-visual forms.

The differences between university and work, are:

-At the university, I didn’t feel I had a real responsibility, whereas at work, I have to fulfill all my responsibilities because others depend on me doing them.

 -Also, at the university we study and focus on only one major, while at work you are able to learn different things and work in several fields.

- The university got me ready to get a job, but still, I think that there are many other things that I still need to learn at work.

At the beginning of my internship I had some difficulties: new environment, different kinds of people, they use different programs and different equipment more advanced and complicated. Also writing different styles for news, such as (news for TV, Radio, and Agency)

In conclusion, my internship was a worthy and useful experience to me.
